STATE BOUND!!!

What a wonderful hot weekend! Braxton's All Star team has made it to state. They played some great ball this weekend. We lost our first game 6-3, won our second game 24-1, and lost our last game 7-4. Since we were in the top two we will move on. I got a lot of great photos with my new camera. Below are Logan Buford and Braylon. They are future baseball players! They are a year apart (couldn't tell that by their size) and they play really good together. As you can see we got them to pose for a photo:)

Braxton took the chance to slide into home on this one. This is the team we beat 24-1. Braxton slid around the guy (which he was later told to slide right thru them) and he got under the tag! He still hadn't touched home plate so he threw his foot out and hit it. He was SAFE!!! WHEW..... it had me a nervous wreck. Not like it was going to make or break the game.

Here he is getting ready to catch a pop fly. Braxton played some great ball over the weekend. We had several people tell us how good he did. That really made us proud. He did some pitching too. You guys have seen several pitching pictures in the past so I won't share them this time. Although my new camera really caught some good facial expressions.

Here is the whole team after the game. They received a trophy and medals. They sure were proud!

We will be leaving Wednesday after we get off work to head for Cassville, MO. It is about 6 hours from here. We play at 1 on Thurs. and then again on Friday. It is double elimination. So depending on how we do those two days will determine when we come home. If we play for the Championship we won't head home until Sunday! It could be a long weekend.
I hope everyone had a great 4th. We did! We watched fireworks with lots of friends at Boonville. They really put on a show.
Better run, I have lots to do. We have a game tonight, Bronson's birthday party tomorrow night and then we leave on Wed. When am I going to pack???? Good question......

Jared has found a new camping spot......anyone want to go???

Yesterday on the way to St Louis I talked to Jared around lunchtime and he was waiting for Mark to get back from eating so they could change a meter. Well Jared was waiting next to a campground. He didn't think too much about it until he seen a man and a woman walking thru the campground totally butt naked. Mind you we have heard that there is a nude campground north of Memphis, but we really didn't know it was true. I guess Jared knows it is true now. I think he enjoyed watching the scenery but wished he would have had his binoculars with him. He said the girl was pretty good looking but I reminded him that all girls are good looking when they are naked and you see them from a distance. He might of thought differently had he had his binoculars, but then again maybe not! We tried calling him back several times and he wouldn't answer his phone. We figured he must be hanging out at the campground. When he finally called us back dad wanted me to ask him if he had a "hard" time getting the meter in:) He said well of course:) Leave it to Jared to actually find the nude campground....

In Action

Finally, I got pictures to prove that we are really potty training the kid:)

Cardinal game

Wow, what a game!!! If you didn't watch the game last night then you really missed an awesome game! Braxton and I sat in our seats right behind the cardinal dugout the first 2 innings. Then we were going to switch the boys at the end of the 2nd inning. Well no one was sitting in the two seats in front of us so dad and Bronson came and sat down there. It was great for all of us to sit right by each other and to have such great seats. The game itself was very exciting. We had a rain delay in the 3rd inning and then the storm passed and the game got going again. After the storm the humidity went down and the weather was perfect. The game got tied and then in the 9th the Cards were up to bat with 2 outs and Glaus up.... he hit a home run and won the game! It was so exciting. I have not been to a Cardinal game to where they have not won. So I was pretty sure it would all work out:) We all enjoyed ourselves so much. We got a lot of great pictures. Bronson I think ate about $20 worth of food by himself. He is always hungry. Dad said when someone would drop a peanut on the ground and it had not been cracked open he would want to pick it up and eat it. He is so funny! We drove home right after the game. We left St Louis around 12. It was raining terrible and we could hardly see the road. I drove realllllly slow! We got to Moberly and I finally had to pull over so dad could drive. I was getting really tired! I got home at 4:11. I slept till about 9 and then got ready and got to work around 9:30ish.

We play ball tomorrow in Boonville at 2. I am not sure on any other times. If our hotel has a computer I will try and get on and let everyone know how we are doing. Wish us luck so we can go to State in Cassville next week.

This was our bathroom break on the way to the game. Braxton was not impressed.

Fredbird during the National Anthem

Pujols up to bat.

This is the ball that Albert threw in the stands. And of course Braxton was a lucky duck and got it. He is really proud.

3 posts in one day!

I know you all think I am a retard and wonder why I would post 3 times in a matter of minutes. But, I feel bad leaving Braylon out of the blog. The potty training is going great! Last night before the games I told him to go to the bathroom. He was in there forever. I kept hearing flush, flush, flush.... I said Braylon what are you doing and he said "pooping". Yeah right is what I thought. I went in there to check on him and he was trying to wipe his butt. I thought ok, I will just wipe him and see, sure enough he had pooped. So we made a great big deal out of it and gave him a penny to put in his piggy bank. Then at the ballgames he told me he had to poop. So I trucked it up the hill to the bathroom and sure enough he pooped again. I had to give him a quarter this time b/c I didn't have any pennies. He made sure he put it in the piggy bank when we got home:) This morning he was dry too. So maybe just maybe we are headed in the right direction. I still haven't been able to get any pictures of him on the pot but once I do you guys will be the first to see it! I am hopefully going to buy a new camera tonight b/c mine is giving me fits. I would hate to not have a camera so you guys won't miss out on any more ball pictures.

Braxton, Bronson, Dad and I are headed to St. Louis tomorrow for a cards game. I am so excited. I don't know who is more excited out of the four of us! I am sure I will have lots of pictures come Thurs, providing I get a new camera.

Until then..... wish the Cardinals luck and I will post on Thursday!

Braxton's last League game...

Braxton had his last league game last night. The boys played really good. Braxton pitched the first 3 innings and then played first and in right field. The coaches really moved boys around last night to give them the chance to play in different positions since it was their last game. We ended up losing by 2 (i think) but the boys played good and that is all that matters. Braxton starts All Star games this weekend. We will be in Boonville. We are still unsure of the days and times we play, so hopefully we will know soon. The last I heard was that there were only two 9 year old teams. That stinks but yet is good b/c that means we will both automatically advance to state next week in Cassville, Mo. So if you are sick of baseball pictures just wait until after the next month. You might as well just not read my blog:)

Bronson's last game...

I have to post Bronson and ball one last time for this summer:) Bronson's last game was great! Everyone on the team got a hit. Then we handed out trophies at the end. Those kids were so excited. You would have thought we had given them a millon dollars. It was a great group of kids, coaches and parents that helped. It takes so many people to get these kids to pay attention and play ball. We had a great year and I can't wait until next year. These kids improved so much from the beginning of the year to the end.
