another bronson funny

i forgot to type this one earlier and didn't want to add to that post for fear that some of you had already read it and wouldn't re-read it. so here it goes...

today when i went to get bronson from the babysitters he had a shirt on that i had bought for braylon. it is a 2T and it fits him. come on what 5 and 1/2 year old boy can wear a 2T long sleeve shirt?! i said bronson that is braylon's shirt and he said "i don't care, i liked it so i am going to wear it" good thing it fits:)

Coming or Going?

i don't know whether or not i am coming or going today or yesterday! lets just say i have been crazy busy with work, kids and myself!

tomorrow is my surgery. i have to be there at 7 and my surgery is scheduled for 9. unless they call me today and change it for some reason. i am not nervous at all. my doctor did tell me yesterday that i need to decide whether or not to keep my ovaries or have them take them out. i really didn't want to make this decision but after much thinking and talking to others i am going to keep them. she had several pros and cons for both ways but my heart is telling me to keep them, so that is what i am going to do!

yesterday i had to get braxton's cast put on and go to the dr and the hospital for pre-op. work was crazy on top of all that. the whole 2 hours and 45 minutes i was there. then last night i thought i would clean my van out. i had left 3 doors open and then jared hollered at me to help him. well while i was helping him braylon decided to hang out in the van and pretend to drive. so he shut 2 of the 3 doors and went on his way. well when i was headed into the house i shut the last door and went around to the other side to get something out and the doors were LOCKED, with my keys in the ignition. and the extra set in my purse. oops! i tried to get them unlocked with some little gadget but no such luck. well jim robertson's told me they could make me a key ($45) but i had to show proof of ownership. ok, how can i do that when all of that is in my glove box and i can't get to it b/c the doors are LOCKED! but thanks to andrea for telling me this morning to use my title which was in the safe, that wasn't locked! anyhow, come to find out phil beeler has some AWESOME gadget to get doors unlocked. it worked! so, thanks phil! i didn't have to make a flying trip to kv to get a key made on my lunch hour.

so today! i had to take braylon to the dr b/c he isn't feeling the greatest. they gave him an antibiotic and a decongestion. i hope he starts feeling better soon. we have soccer tonight, i need to pick up my house and cook my last meal for awhile! woo hoo on that one!

so please remember me in your prayers tonight and for the next few days. the surgery should take 1 to 2 hours and then i should have to be in the hospital for 3 days. i hopefully will be coming home on friday!

i won't be able to blog for awhile, but once i am able i may be walking to andrea's and getting on her computer to check my email and update my blog. i am not looking forward to not being able to work out so maybe doing some walking every day will satisfy me.

Bronson funnies!

I have two funny/sweet stories on Bronson.......

1) the other day we were heading somewhere and he said "mommy, how come you didn't name me Gene Autry?". i was stunned! i said well i don't know why. would you like to have that name. and his reply was "YES". he really likes to watch that show when he stays at my gma margies.

2) today is my grandpa raymond's bday. he died a few years ago. so when bronson was at my grandma margie's again today she told him that it was grandpa raymond's birthday today. he said well where is he? and she told him that he was in heaven. he asked her if she was going to go to heaven too. and she told him yes. and then he said " i bet he will be excited to see you!" (yes dry your eyes now so you can read on). he also wanted to know if she was going to have to take her cane with her to heaven. she preceded to tell him the story why she wouldn't need it and then he said " i just love God!" (ok, dry your eyes again).

i just loved both of these stories that i had to share this post separately than any other:)

Totally not with it!

Okay, jared is 32 not 33. I have no idea where I was yesterday. So anyhow, HAPPY 32ND BIRTHDAY TO MY HUSBAND, TODAY:)

Happy 33rd Birthday Jared!

tomorrow is jared's 33rd birthday! it seems just like yesterday was his 30th. does everyone remember his surprise party? he was so surprised. i knew he didn't like surprises but i still did it and pulled it off. we already did something for his birthday in july. we stayed at the stoney creek inn in columbia after the show me state games. we jumped the gun a little bit b/c we didn't really know what sept would bring. tonight we aren't going to do too much. i need to get groceries so we may go to kv. tomorrow is soccer, flag football (even though brax can't play we are still going to go and watch them play), a bridal shower and then out for jared's bday with vance and andrea. i think vance and jared have something up their sleeves.... even though it is jared's bday:) sunday we have a baseball/softball meeting and supper at his parents for his bday.

braxton is doing really good. he did have a lot of pain yesterday, but i think he is going to make it. thanks to everyone for asking about him. he is going to get his cast on on monday.

also, i want to thank.... jenn, andrea, amee, erin, cindy tallman, laurie ulrich and sara beeler ahead of time for food:) jenn wanted to set up dinners for me and my family after i have my surgery. i think that is a great thing and am very thankful for you guys! i know jared will appreciate it. he is kind of picky when it comes to eating other peoples food. when i told him last night what jenn wanted to do he gave me this look, like are you kidding me, me eat someone else's cooking. i reassured him that it wouldn't be from any dirty homes and who they were and then he was ok with everything. he is sooooo weird! he will eat out anywhere not knowing who is cooking or what the the kitchen looks like but stresses about someones home cooking. i don't get it, but i am glad that he is ok with you guys bringing us food. thanks again guys:) i will repay you someday when you need it!

What happens when you upset the fruit basket/salad?

Someone gets their arm broke! and that someone was Braxton:(

He was playing "fruit salad" last night at Sonlight. Which I guess this game is a lot like musical chairs. It was just one of those "freak" accidents and if they did the same thing again it probably wouldn't happen. Someone just landed on his arm just right and he broke it right above his wrist. It was a clean break and won't need setting or surgery. Thank goodness! It was his left arm. So we were thankful for that and that it wasn't during baseball season. He will get it casted next week and then he will have the cast on for 6 weeks. He was in a lot of pain until we got it supported and then he hasn't been in any pain. He is a tough little guy. I am sure this is one of many to come. But who would have thought that playing a game like that would do it instead of when he plays baseball, football, rides the four wheeler or his motorcycle, jumping on the trampoline or even rough housing with his dad and brothers. Another day, another doctor trip:) Thank goodness for AFLAC!

Absentee ballots!

That is all I have done today. I think my eyes are going to be crossed before this day ends! I am absolutely exhausted. I am not sure why, but I don't like it. I have been to bed early every night for the past 3 nights and it doesn't seem to be helping. I may be a little stressed which could be why I am tired.

I am normally not a stressful person but I think deep down in my body it is stressed. I don't feel it but I think it is there. I am thinking the stress is b/c in one week I am going to have my hysterectomy. I am not worried about the surgery b/c I have been there and done 3 c-sections and this is going to be just like it but I won't be coming home with a baby. So having this surgery is probably the cause of my stress. Why? because in 41 days it will be the election. I want everything ready and done when I have my surgery. When I leave work for a couple of weeks I want Dolores to have things go smoothly. I trust her completely but I am hoping that I don't forget to do something so she won't have to do it, hoping that I have good instructions on "how to do" things so she won't stress. Then I guess I am stressing b/c just "what if" something would go wrong and my kids would be without a mother. I think that that may be the main cause of my stress. I know it is a slim chance of something happening but you still worry about it. I know all of you would too. So please keep me in your prayers that I get everything done that I want to in the next week and that my surgery and recovery time goes well. Thanks in advance.

selling machines

I made $372.00 at my garage sale this weekend!! WOO HOO! Between the 4 of us we made over $900. It was a great day for a garage sale and there were lots and lots of people out and about.

i have been crazy busy trying to get ready for my/our garage sale tomorrow. i am ready! i hope we have a great turnout. couldn't ask for better weather. 80 degrees and no rain! woo hoo! if you want bargains come see us at my mom's house! we are opening at 7.

eating at bogie's tomorrow night! can't wait!

also, 3 puppies left to give away to a good home. anyone want one? they have their eyes open now and will be ready for their new homes in about 4 weeks. right when andrea is ready to move into her new house. wanna guess what their house warming gift will be?

this is a subject that comes up in my household ALL the time.

jared doesn't understand it.

we argue about it all the time. he will call me just to talk to me about it, he will mention it whenever and wherever we are at, he touches me all the time. it absouletly drives me nuts.

now don't get me wrong. i should be happy that my husband wants me in all these ways but when that is all that is on his mind, it gets old. it begins to grate on your nerves b/c you think that it doesn't matter that you have lost weight or that you may look "hot" in an outfit it is just simply b/c that is all that he wants. he doesn't want to just "talk" when you go to bed, he just wants to rub up on you! ugh! i am happy that he wants me but i am not happy about the fact that that is all he wants.

i think the not wanting it part comes from the rubbing on me all the time, talking about it all the time and no romancing! (and vance don't be teaching him any of your romancing ideas like you have in the past, b/c the finger in the ear doesn't work:))

or maybe it is just that i am in that time of my life where my hormone levels are low. does anyone else have this problem or had this problem? i hate that i am this way but what does a person do about it?

sorry you all had to listen to my sex life and i know you probably are thinking "thanks for sharing", but i just had to vent! thx for listening or i guess reading:)

I have Discovered.....

..............that my feet have shrunk! What is up with that. I used to wear a size 8 then I had kids and it went to a 9. Now they have shrunk. I am not sure what size they are b/c I just discovered it today when I put on my shoes. I was talking about it here at work and one of the ladies asked me if my feet got bigger when i was pregnant. "yep, sure did!". She said that after a few years that they will shrink. Geez! I hate buying shoes the way it is! Thanks feet and pregnancy!



..............that the election is 48 days away! Thanks newscasters for that update. Most of you that know me, know that is when my office is the busiest. But for those of you that don't know me..... well, I really don't need someone reminding me every stinking day how many days until the election! Everytime that I turn around I hear them saying it on the news and the radio. Do they honestly think us election folks don't already know that and really don't want to hear it! UGH! I don't get all freaked out about election day but when someone is reminding me every chance they get it kind of makes me wonder if I should be freaking out! Rest assured... I AM NOT GOING TO FREAK OUT!!! My election will go smoothly. For those 1,000's of people that are reminding the world of how many days until election, STICK IT!! I don't want to hear it. The only thing I like about hearing the countdown is that in 50+ days it will OVER!!

13th!

i am so glad that it is not Friday the 13th! i am a little superstitious, but not overboard with it. my mom is really superstitious and she rubbed off on me when i was younger but the older i get some of the "things" that bothered me don't bother me as much. so just thought i would list some of the things that i am superstitious about:

1. when the digital clock reads like 11:11 or 2:22 i flick it twice. it is suppose to be for good luck.
2. when going thru a yellow stop light i scratch the ceiling of the car. again for good luck.
3. if i see a hearse, i grab a button. supposedly if you don't then you will be the next one in a hearse.
4. i don't walk under ladders.
5.if a black cat goes in front of the car i think about turning around and going the other direction but i don't actually do it. my mom would turn around!
6.if i go in one door i go out the same door. again some good luck! you would think if i do this stuff all the time i would have LOTS of good luck, huh?
7.the number 13 bothers me in some instances.
8.opening an umbrella inside! geez, how could it take me so long to think of that one on a day like this?

i guess that is all for now! i can't think of anything else as of now. i guess i may be a little more superstitious than i thought.

just a quick note before i head out.

i will be gone until wed afternoon. so you won't be hearing from my until thurs. unless!, my hotel has a computer and i have the time i may blog. my kids are really upset that i am leaving. i can't imagine what they will be like when jared leaves on thurs. i hope they handle it ok. it just makes it harder on all of us when they are so upset. hope everyone has a good first part of the week and please keep me in your prayers as i travel!

We are Grandparents!!

Just in time for Grandparents Day tomorrow. Gracie had her pups today. She must have had them sometime after 1:30 a.m. She is doing great and is being a very good mom. There are 7 all together. 2 white ones, 3 brown and white ones and 2 black and white ones. There are 4 females and 3 males. They are very cute. I don't know who is more excited the boys or Jared and I! We have 3 that are already spoken for. Does anyone want one?? They are terriers.

Grandparents Day

Today was Grandparents Day at school. Braxton had quite the turn out. They had to write a story about their grandparents to hang on the wall. He had written one about my dad. He was feeling really bad that Randy and Teresa didn't have one and that my mom didn't have a story about her either. He was so upset about it last night that he cried. So I told him to just write one for all of them. He wrote one about Randy and Teresa and then one about my mom too. He had 3 stories hanging up on the wall. He is such a sensitive child. I am glad that he wants to treat all of them the same but at the same time I don't want him to fret about.

Everyone really needs to go to the following site and watch the two videos of Adam Bender. It is so amazing! I cried while watching it. It will make you stop and think about sports and how you treat your child!

craziness

the craziness is about to begin for this month. jared found out yesterday that he is going to be leaving on the 11th for Louisanna. i think he is excited to go. he knows it will be a lot of work but then again he is a hard worker. so that will leave me without a husband for 10-12 days and leave the kids without a daddy too. we will manage just fine. i have done it before and i can do it again. i am glad that he will get good experience along with good money:) he is going with a good group of guys so i know he will be in good hands! the only thing that stinks is that the next 2 weeks are going to be absoulutely crazy!!!!! while he is gone we will have 3 soccer practices, 2 soccer games, 1 flag football game, 2 nights of sonlight, numerous nights of getting ready for our garage sale, garage sale, homecoming, relay for life and 5-6 times of curves! whew...... it is so funny how you take someone (like your husband) for granted and then when he is going to be gone you wonder how in the world you will be everywhere you need to be and get everything done!

i leave on monday for kansas city. i won't be home until wednesday late afternoon. then jared will leave on thursday. he was going to go with me but decided to stay home and spend some time with the boys before he leaves. i don't blame him for that.

tonight we are headed to kirksville to get jared some essentials for his upcoming trip then back to queen city for the football game. tomorrow we have a birthday party and several other little things we need to get done. sunday i am going to the christian church with andrea as her "friend" b/c it is "friend day". i am excited to try her church. i have just started helping at sonlight and really like the programs that they offer to the kids. so hopefully the kids will like it too and maybe we will become members someday.

hope everyone has a good weekend. i plan on sleeping in this weekend. if i wake up before 5 like i have the last 2 mornings i am going to scream, ok maybe i won't scream b/c i really don't wanna wake the kids, but i will be very frustrated. i never would have thought i would be an early riser like this. i never could understand why my grandpa got up so stinking early, but now i can understand it a little better. speaking of sleeping, the following picture was of braylon last weekend when he was so tired he couldn't make it past the laundry room. he fell asleep on the way home from town (2 minutes) and when i carried him in the house he woke up so i set him down and then he crawled up on the bench, stuck his thumb in his mouth and fell back asleep. i thought it was so cute that i left him there but when jared got home he thought he needed to be in bed so he wouldn't fall off and get hurt. dads!!! geez!

idiots in schuyler county

ok, had to meet a guy tonight b/c he had to have something and he couldn't find the courthouse here in lancaster! you have got to be kidding me! i will tell you the whole story tomorrow. he got here knowing he was going to have to pay for this info he wants, comes flying in here and no money! he actually RUNS to casey's to the ATM instead of driving! UGH! and i have supper at home ready to eat and i have to be at sonlight in 30 minutes. and here i am waiting for an idiot who can't find the courthouse in lancaster when he drove right by the place!!!!! he just couldn't understand how he missed this place. HMMMM, me neither! i will have to do some extra praying for my bad words tonight!:)

BBQ Pork

has anyone made bbq pork from a pork roast? i have 2 in the crock pot and i have never actually made bbq pork so was needing some good yummy ideas for it. help me out ya'll!

Antique Tractor Ride

Several antigue tractors rolled through Lancaster today. They say there are about 160 people riding thru. That doesn't necessarily mean 160 tractors b/c there were a few with 2 people on them. I think it is pretty cool for things like this these days. I took a few pictures to share.
