Basketball
For a kid that didn't want to play basketball, he is doing pretty darn good:)
Seeing this basketball team come together this year has been such an awesome experience. Every single one of the kids on the team has improved tremendously!!
We have had some great games and not so great games.
We have had some close games and not so close games.
We have had some heartbreakers too!
Last week the boys played in the 5th and 6th grade Schuyler County Tournament. They won all but one game, and they lost it by 1 point in the last 2 minutes. They ended up getting second place. We were all so proud of them
Last night was our first game in the Brashear tournament. We were ahead by 5 points most of the game. I don't know what it is about the last 2 minutes of games, but that is when we seem to have trouble.
Last night we were up by 1 with 9.5 seconds left and Braxton got fouled....
to the free throw line he went.
SWISH.... both shots!
Up by 3...
They made a basket or two free throws (i can't remember which:))
Us, up by 1
Braxton got fouled.....
to the free throw line again!
First shot up....
roll around the rim....
IN!
second shot up....
IN!
Up by 3!
Then it got exciting and I can't remember if we won by 1 or 3:)
All I know is WE WON!!!!
So we play tomorrow night again.
So here are some pictures to share, thanks to my dad. These aren't from last night, but you get the idea:)
(braxton is the 2nd from the left on the front row)
When we got in the van last night, Braxton said "mom, thanks for showing me how to put my foot on the free throw line, that really helped me make those shots!"
WHAT?? Seriously?? I did something right?? I actually knew something?? That sure made this ole mom proud!!
Then he told me that he got MVP of last nights game. I didn't even know that the coach did this after every game, but apparently he does!
So congrats to my son and the whole basketball team!

This is insane! Check out the link below.
What has the world come to?
Where are the morals?
Where are the parents?
Where does a 12 year old even "do it" at? Aren't they with their parents most of the time or some adult?
WOW, seriously..... TWELVE?

Excitement
So, I get this phone call today from Andrea and she is so excited! Why? Because she bought me these really cool plates for my kitchen! She told me that she was really excited to give me my birthday present and to call her when I got home so she could bring it over to me. And she also told me that if I didn't like it to not tell her b/c it would make her cry!!! First off, I would never, ever tell anyone that I didn't like a present b/c that is just rude and 2nd off, I REALLY DO LOVE THEM:)
Don't you???
I'm have been talking with Andrea about repainting my kitchen, dining room, hallway and laundry room for the past year. So now I have something to base it off of and totally redo:)
Well, just wanted you to be able to share in my excitement with me.

Tag, I'm it!
I have been tagged by Hayley at Love Little Things!
Here is my daily "beauty" regime (and yes they are pretty much in the order that I use them. I am kind of weird about order:))
I use Dove soap on my face every morning
.jpg)
I use Thermasilk shampoo, the volumizing kind b/c my hair is so fine and flat!
.jpg)
My great hair lady has me using this Redken Hair cleansing shampoo a few times a week
.jpg)
I wash the ole bod with my Bath and Body Sweet pea or I get the Suave kind at Wal-mart
.jpg)
Before I blow dry my hair I put this Redken Rootful in to try and help with the flatness
.jpg)
I just started using Kenra hairspray. I went from Big Sexy Hair to this. I love this one!
.jpg)
This one is out of order... yikes, kind of freaking me out! Anyway, I use Mary Kay oil free eye makeup remover when I get out of the shower to get that extra eye stuff off that Dove doesn't get off.
.jpg)
Mary Kay Toner, this is to help with my oilyness, but for some reason I am still having trouble.
.jpg)
Mary Kay eyeliner, Black
.jpg)
Mary Kay eyesicles, Island Bronze

Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara, Blk
.jpg)
A little bath and body sweet pea to make me smell delicious
.jpg)
Degree deodorant to make the pits not stink
.jpg)
I use a variety of lotions. Whatever I can find. I use lotion on the whole body, everyday! I am thinking the Bath and Body that I have been using is a lot better and is helping with my dry skin!
.jpg)
I just bought this Abercrombie perfume. I switch between it and the Cool Water that I have used all my life.
