Bronie Butt and baseball

Last night was our first night for Bronson's team to have ball practice. I thought it went really good. I was minus 2 helpers and 2 kids. The kids were really excited to be there and they loved to run the bases and bat the most. They didn't like to field the ball though, hmmmmm, imagine that. We have some really good ball players for 5 and 6 year olds. Bronson is only 4 but is able to play because he able to go to Kindergarten this fall.

Speaking of Kindergarten.....

We are having a really hard time deciding whether to send Bronson this fall or not. He will be 5 in July. He is going to go to Kindergarten screening next week and then Summer School. He is so excited. Jared thinks we should wait another year and I think he is ready to go this year. Everyone you talk to has different opinions. So, we are going to leave it up to the Kindergarten teachers this summer. If they think he is ready then we will send him and if they don't then we will keep him home. I know every child is different so that is why I am trying not to let everyones opinions get to me.

Better get to work.

Braxton the good child

Well, well, welll!

I thought Braxton was going to be this child that told you everything because EVERYTHING bothers him. The kid is going to have an ulcer before he is 15. Anyhow, yesterday I was looking in his backpack for something and I couldn't find it so I started looking in all the different zipper parts I found lots more than I bargained for. In this little bitty compartment was TONS of worksheets! I pulled one out because it was all wadded up into a ball and lo and behold I seen why it was wadded up........ it had a 65% on it. No wonder he was hiding it from us. So, I called Jared and talked to him about it and we decided to just confront him and not get mad about it because the kid has all A's. When we asked him about it he said "I thought I would get grounded if I showed them to you." He started crying and Jared and I told him since he told us the truth that we would let it slide this time but to start showing us from now on. I asked him why he didn't just throw them away so we would never see them and he said b/c I thought I would get caught b/c you guys go thru the trash sometimes b/c Braylon throws things away that he isn't suppose to. Good thinking on his part. So why didn't he just throw them away at school? Because if Mrs. Shepherd found them in the trash he would have to stay in for a WHOLE recess. He decided to hoard them instead. I told him that he is always going to get caught no matter what. It may have taken us all year to catch on but we did.

This has made me think a little differently. I know the reason he did it was because we got after him for missing 2 on several papers so we told him if he missed more than 2 he would be grounded. Wrong thing to do as a parent. We expect way too much out of this child and we really need to tone it down. Me mostly! So I learned a very important lesson out of this too! So really think what you say to your child b/c it bothers them more than you think.

Oh yeah, he had 62 papers in that little compartments. AND all of them had -2 or more on them. See they really do listen.

The Second Honeymooners

This is a picture of my mom and dad when they went to Branson last week. My dad is in to this photography thing on the internet so he is really good about changing pictures and adding things. Good Job Dad. Anyhow, Braxton thought they were on their second honeymoon. And maybe they were:)

Gma Margie

the silent killer............

Whew what a day already!

When they say you should have a carbon monoxide detector in you house, LISTEN! But don't just unplug it when it goes off because there is generally a reason why it is going off. Either it could be a bad battery or there is carbon monoxide in your house. My Grandma Margie had hers go off last night at 10:00 and it was bugging her so she just unplugged it. She didn't want to call and bother my dad so she just went to bed. So this morning she told my dad "Oh yeah my carbon monoxide detector went off last night so I just unplugged it". So my dad plugged it back in and reset it and nothing happened. So he hung around there until about 11 and then left. At 11:30 my gma had her lunch delivered and the thing went off again and the guy delivering her lunch told her to shut her furnace off and call the fire dept to come check it. So she calls my dad, my dad calls my mom and then my mom calls me to see who to call. So good ole' me called Laura Watson and met her there at 12 and when I walked in it literally almost knocked me over! It smelled so bad in there. I know carbon monoxide doesn't smell but gas does! It was hazy and it kind of made you dizzy. Laura got a reading in less than 3 steps in the door. She said she has NEVER gotten a reading that fast. So that should tell you how bad it was. So we opened windows and took gma to have her O2 checked. She is fine other than a little high blood pressure. But I am sure mine was high too b/c I was scared for her. So just a little advice......... when your detectors go off have it checked out!

Other than that is has been a pretty good day. The weekend went by way too fast.

Wish me luck, I am going to try and get some pictures on here and some music. I don't want Andrea to be one up on me:)

New at this

Well, my first day as a blogger:) I thought what the heck lets see what blogging is all about. So here I am.

I have an ear infection today. It sucks! Hopefully my medicine will start working. I want to feel good for tonight when I go eat at Bogie's with Tiff and Stikie.

It is another day filled with rain. I am so sick of rain that I could puke! I hope Braxton is able to get a baseball practice in tomorrow.

I am pissed off today at a lady I work with. She seems to be able to get under my skin every chance she gets. ONE OF THESE DAYS............... I will have my say. I am tired of being nice so lookout! I know, I know, me having my say. Oh yeah, and it is not Dolores.:)

Happy Friday!
