Devastation!

Here are some pictures of the tornado that went through Kirksville last night. It is such a sad, sad ordeal. Please pray for these families that lost loved ones or lost their homes.

The very first picture is one that my dad took. He saw this old record laying about out in the middle of some grass. Who knows where it came from. My dad is one that notices the small things and what he read on this album sums it all up. The very first song on the record is 'Sadness in it All'. So very true!

Track & Field Day

what a gorgeous day for track & field. it was a little windy, but at least it was warmer than it has been in the past. this year for braxton's age group they got to pick 3 events to participate in instead of doing all the events. braxton did the softball throw, 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. he placed 1st in the softball throw and 3rd in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. i was so proud of him!

Headed South

some of the guys from jared's work are headed south to help out where a tornado went through. they left this morning at 7 and won't be home for 5-7 days.

don't you just love how my husband had to try and hide behind norm? the guys really didn't want us to take their picture, but we finally got them to!

so please add these guys to your prayer lists that they have safe travels and safety while working down there!

we have a very busy week coming up. today is just as crazy. 2 ball practices and a birthday party. next week we have 3 ball practices, track and field day and i have to take braylon to the dr for his tonsil check up. he is still not feeling the greatest, so hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

better run, gotta go catch some fish at colby's birthday party:)

guys, i just need some prayers!

i have several things going on right now that i can't seem to figure out.

i am trying to drop it at God's feet and let him deal with it, but it is a very hard thing for me to do.

do you ever just wanna sit down and have a BIG FAT CRY??? well that is what i want to do right now!

so please, just pray for me......

please pray for belinda rook formerly of bloomfield. she was due in a couple of weeks with her first child, a girl. she went into labor last night and when they hooked her up to the monitors there was no heartbeat. last i heard she was trying to deliver the baby. i can not even imagine the pain that they are going through.

she is a good friend of heather boas and her and heather were only due a couple of weeks apart.

Here are some of the pictures of Braylon before his surgery. My dad was there after the surgery and got some but I didn't have time to snap any afterwards. Somebody made hats for the little kids to have. They had a whole sack of them and he could pick whatever one he wanted. He chose the one with fishing stuff all over it.

check out those hospital pants and shirt he got to wear. the nurse told me she was sorry that they only had ones that had pink on them. i told her he wouldn't care. he did care!! he said, "i ain't wearin' that, i'm not a girl!" he finally put them on after a fight!

***** update*****

he is doing ok. he has ran a low grade fever since yesterday. he absolutely HATED his medicine. it took 2 of us to get it down him and it took us 15 mintues to do it! teresa took it today to get some flavoring in it. we will see how he takes it the next dose. he got to stay home with grandma and grampsie today. he is a little ouchy and doesn't want to eat anything. but who could blame him!! hopefully the weekend will make a big difference and he will be on the mend soon. thanks for all the prayers!
